About Masia Laurel

A short drive from the village Atzeneta Del Maestrat in Valencia’s Castellon province
you will find Masia Laurel named after the Bay tree that sits in the centre of the garden.

The house has two self catering apartments, both with outdoor patios.

The Almendra comprises three bedrooms, bathroom and a kitchen diner. Bedroom one the master bedroom featuring a double bed and french doors opening onto a private balcony with stunning views. The second room has two single beds and the third has fixed childrens bunk beds.

The Oliva comprises two bedrooms, bathroom and a kitchen-diner. The master bedroom features a double bed and the second room has two singles.

We have cots which can be set up in any of the bedrooms for the little ones.

The services and facilities page under the accommodation tab has a more indepth view of what we provide for your needs and comfort.

Our large almond terrace, with small play area gives the children the freedom to run around and play, let their imaginations run wild. They can jump about on the trampoline or simply relax and play with toys on a blanket under the shade of the bay tree.

The outdoor kitchen is a great way to spend time together as a family or with friends cooking in the pizza oven or on the barbecue or the paella and eating on the terrace looking up through the valley and on to the Penyagolosa Mountain.

For a great family treat we offer a do-it-yourself pizza party where you take charge of lighting the wood-fired pizza oven, make the dough and build and cook your own pizza from our prepared tray of meats, vegetables, cheeses and tomato sauce, it's a great way for all the family to muck in and it gets the children involved and inspired.

We recommend all guests hire a car and explore this amazing area, where there is so much to do in these mountains for all ages, ranging from visiting caves with paintings from the earliest signs of human habitation to water parks! Something to whet the appetite of all tastes and it’s only a short and scenic 40-minute drive to the coast.

The Costa Del Azahar features a wonderful stretch of historic coastal towns such as Peñíscola and great beach resorts of Benicassim and Oropesa.

For us the gems here are in the mountains with amazing walking, cycling, mountain biking and horse riding excursions all set among the backdrop of some of Spain’s finest scenery.

This area has a wealth of history from the nearby by town of Morella and the Sant Joan de Penyagolosa.
Please click on the local attractions tab for more information about the area.

We are an eco-friendly home and generate our own electricity from the sun using PV solar panels. All of our electrical appliances have been purchased with efficiency in mind.
The house water supply is also off-grid - we harvest our rainwater which is completely clean and filtered.

All this in mind, although this will not affect your comfort, we do have to be careful and sensible with how we all use water and electricity.
